Review:
This is a movie that keeps you
guessing to the end. The identity of the main character, V, is
skillfully and subtlety revealed as the movie progresses. His face and
true identity never become fully known to us. Despite this, we come to
know and understand him and have some sympathy for him.
For those of us not familiar with the comic or book, the
identity cliffhanger is a technique that also works well in cinema. In
addition the fight against oppression is one we can all cheer for.
Hugo Weaving does a great job in portraying the title
character.
